The new organisation consists of:
1. World wide on-line pre-selections (18 January 2008)
- A non-stop 24 hours competition which gets together either professional or amateur teams (3 or 4 members per team) around the creation of a website (according to a given compulsory theme). The competition is going off at the same time in all the participating countries and the best teams of each country are selected to attend the great finale in Limoges city
- Buzz on the WIF website blogs: www.webdesign-festival.com during the pre-selections
2. International finals in Limoges (17,18,19 April 2008) including :
- Webjam finale: non-stop 24 hours by the end of which all the teams must have created a website according to a compulsory theme. The winners of the last edition won a Web design world tour and met renowned web agencies at each of their stops
- Conferences dealing with Webdesign, interactive design and introductions of the e-Design Limousin Excellence Pole, including a Bachelor degree academic training as well as a business nursery and a research laboratory both dedicated to e-Design
- Recruitment process (kind of speed meetings) between Web agencies and ICT companies on one side and webdesigners on the other side
- Appointments set up for some ICT business creators who will have the opportunity to meet Business Angels, banks, accountants and lawyers, as well as local authorities, chambers of commerce and industry… They will be given a chance to introduce and stand up for their project and to get some resources to ease the setting-up of their company
- An event for the general public, dealing with Web discovery.
